Daily Bible Reading Plan

The Bible records things that God did and said many years ago. But the Bible teaches us that the things its authors wrote under God’s direction are also for us (Rom 15:4; 1 Cor 10:11; 2 Tim 2:14–16). The Bible tells us a lot about God, his world (how it was ruined and how he is repairing it), and our responsibilities in God’s world. It is all there to warn us, encourage us, and teach us. We need to know more than just a few favorite verses and Bible stories; we need all of it. Reading the whole Bible, regularly and repeatedly, will change your life.

This plan takes you through the Bible in a year. There are readings each weekday from each Testament, with readings from the Psalms on Sundays. You might read one Testament in the morning and one at night, or even one this year and the other next. Readings are based on natural divisions in the text, not an arbitrary number of chapters or pages. There are optional additional readings for several holidays.
