One Great Story
Daily Bible Reading PlanThe Bible records things that God did and said many years ago. But the Bible teaches us that the things its authors wrote under God’s direction are also for us (Rom 15:4; 1 Cor 10:11; 2 Tim 2:14–16). The Bible tells us a lot about God, his world (how it was ruined and how he is repairing it), and our responsibilities in God’s world. It is all there to warn us, encourage us, and teach us. We need to know more than just a few favorite verses and Bible stories; we need all of it. Reading the whole Bible, regularly and repeatedly, will change your life.
This plan is designed to help you read through the Bible in a year. There are readings each day from the Old Testament and New Testaments, with Sunday readings from the Psalms. Some may divide the readings between morning and evening, or even read the Old Testament one year and the New the next. Readings are based on natural divisions in the text, rather than (like many plans) a set number of chapters per day.
